Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair, March 2016
Travelling has always been a foundation for my designs and either ambling around the night markets or spending the days attending the vast jewellery show in the Hong Kong Convention Centre, there's inspiration and colour everywhere you turn.
Attending the show this year for inspiration and sourcing certainly didn't disappoint - from the lustrous strands of beautiful natural pearls and coral to the sparkling diamonds and multi-coloured semi precious stones, I was like a kid in a sweet shop!
This year's exciting find was a jewellery company that specialises in carved mother-of-pearl shell and I just couldn't help but be inspired for the foundations of a new collection.
Combined with photographs and sketches I had doodled as walking around this wonderful island, I started work on the new collection - Oriental Seas.
